Crystallized
and Sugar Dusted Ginger*
Young
fiberless ginger is steeped in cane sugar syrup and then crystallized
or dusted with icing sugar to produce free flowing pieces of golden
ginger.
*Additional
organic and/or dusted versions of any crystallized cut are available
by special order. **All cuts listed below are crystallized unless
noted otherwise.

Crystallized and sugar dusted ginger products are shelf stable,
even after opening, and have a two year shelf life.

Usages:
Larger
diced chunks and slices are typically used for snacking and repacking.
Medium dice is best for trail mixes and spice bottles. Dusted cubes
are for panning and trail mixes. Small dice and mini-chips are popular
baking cuts. They can be used instead of, or in addition to, chocolate
chips or nuts in any recipe. Try in cookies, muffins, cakes and
scones, and use to perk-up the fruit flavors in your pie and crisps.
Small cuts can also be used in cereal, energy bars, and chocolate
bars.
